Post 10 (week 13): English Language Challenges

Actually I don’t have problems with this english, because always I have problems learning how to write in this languages, and this time is an opportunity to improve and progress in this important kind of knowledge. Although, I expected it to be slightly more demanding in terms of vocabulary, but I have slowly understood the reason for the reinforcement in such basic English elements. So I’m glad and a little frustrated with this subject, but is for other aspects, just like the distribution of hours in university hours. The Blogs? I don’t really like the use of blogs in this space, mainly, because, the use of blog is not the same use that we give in Latin America than in countries like Great Britain or Australia. I feel that in Chile is better the use the social network or, even, the email that the blog, because I feel this space so impersonal compare to my email or write in a random page on Facebook. I feel that I need to improve my writing skills, because I have problems when I...

Post 2 (16-10) My Travel to Patagonia

I remember when I travel to the Chilean Patagonia a few years ago, because originally I was going to work in that place. That summer of 2016, I take for first time in my life an airplane to anywhere, It was an unusual experience. But, when I arrived to the Balmaceda Airport, all of my questions get an answer, because I really don’t know much about that place, near to Coyhaique. This Travel had a lot of specials moments, because I really want to know the South of Chile, and was my first travel without family or any member of my close circle of friends. Even the fact that I work in a Hostel with Restaurant, I really feel that this two months that I lived in that place was my best vacation, because I learn more about this country and the last days I had the opportunity of knowing places just like the “Marble Cathedrals” or the “Northern Patagonian Ice Field”. I hope that one day I can come back to that beautiful land

Post 9 (04-12) Suggested improvements of my Study Programme

Actually Journalism career in the University of Chile is really balanced for a future radio or television work, but we have some issues, essentially with the progress of the internet and the new platforms that can we use for work. I think that we can continue with this, also that the university give to the students more tools for this “new world”, focus on the streaming, the podcast and the social networks. the University can make the difference (again), if they give a chance to this evolution on the way that we can show the news to the public. They can teach more about of the “Fake news” and how we can avoid them, or we can study the memes and how can affect some important events just like presidential elections or perceptions of public people (just like Artist, Politicians, or even institutions). In my experience, we receive a lot of repeat information of  topics just like “Frankfurt School”, but we learn only how to do a blog/website or post in a website in one year. In my...

Post 8 (03-12): "Michael Bublé"

He is one of the most interesting voices in music, because he give us a revival of the “Rat Pack Music” Style that rule in the 60’s. The canadian of 43 years old is actually working in his last album “LOVE” (Written with the shape of a Heart) and, probably, the last one of his career. I “discovered” his music when I was on 8th Grade and when I remember the day that I heard his voice, literally, I feeling good so much with his voice and his clothes (curiously the first song that I heard from him was the cover of Anthony Newley called “Feeling Good”). But, I lost him for a while, and, just one day, a few years ago, I hear “Home”, and he touch my heart again. One of the things that I really like of him is his style, the passion that he puts on his music and how much he care his personal space, even the last time that he had some familiar issues just like the cancer fight of his son.
